Can a natural, clean cream do what dozens of beauty scientists couldn’t?
I talk about hair a lot. I have a lot of it, every woman in my family has lots of it: all curly, thick and completely out of control. So it’s fair to say that I have been giving my hair a lot of attention since I was very young. Just to give you some context, I am one of those people that have to set an afternoon aside to wash their hair.
There are many kinds of curly hair and just as many types of curls. I have a curly-wavy variety that can be nice when well-styled or can make you look like a scruffy dog – no in-between.
When I was a teenager and in my early twenties, I didn’t leave my hair to be, but I have been embracing the curls a lot more in the last few years (I also got a lot lazier). From my mid-twenties, I have been searching for a way to make my curls look nice, bouncy and defeat the dryness – aka curls’ number one enemy.
I have tried a lot of creams. From the classic Cantu creams to high-end, expensive brands, there was always something I didn’t like in the final result. When I started only using clean products, things got even more complicated (and expensive) – until I got this green bottle of goodness in the post.
Khali Min is a British brand with Egyptian roots that ticks all the boxes: it’s natural, cruelty-free, vegan, and all ingredients are responsibly sourced. It’s also a small, female-led company which is a big plus in my book.
Currently, they only have two products, the clean cream and the oil (watch out for the review of the oil soon), demonstrating that effective beauty is simple and we don’t need ten different hair products in our beauty cabinet.
Khali Min Clean Cream is hands down one of the best leave-in conditioners I have tried in my life (and career). The composition is made of all-natural ingredients: Rosehip Oil, Aloe, Murumuru Butter and a surprising Broccoli Seed Oil.
Only a tiny amount is needed to notice the difference in the hair texture. The hair is moisturised, and once it’s dried, the curls are defined, hydrated and bouncy – just as they should be. The cream is nourishing but not heavy, so the hair still keeps its natural volume and doesn’t require any additional product.
I have tried it for a few months now, and the results have been consistent, and my hair is always a lot more manageable when I use Khali Min’s Clean Cream compared to other, more famous, leave-in conditioners. A natural product without nasties at a very honest price – what’s not to love?
